His two latest pieces of work are SadoJudaism, a stand-up show about fetishism and prostitution and, controversially, This is Not a Subject for Comedy, a comedic account of his trip to Israel and Palestine in April 2003. “Comedy and humour - we’ve all seen comedians treat the subject of sexual deviancy in a depressingly familiar way. It’s invariably reduced to sniggers about ‘kinky sex’…. at last a comedian has come along who’s prepared to meet the subject head on and put his mouth where his jokes are… Ivor describes himself as ‘Comedian, Jew and Sadomasochist to the Stars’, and in his new solo show SadoJudaism he tells how, as a typical Jewish boy from Finchley, he became SM and acquired a fetish for prostitutes.
