Moles Group, is composed of several entertainments related companies, all of which are represented on this site. The main thrust of the organization, is to give people value for money entertainment, that is uplifting, socially aware, and gives people options, as opposed to the usual mass market, lowest common denominator stuff that is pumped out with tedious regularity by the multiples. We also try to have a minimum impact on the environment, and follow policies where practical that achieve those aims. The fact that we only do veggie food is an example of this policy. Veggie food is much more ecologically sound in it's production, and much of the produce used is locally sourced. We support Envolve the local sustainablity and ecological action centre with sponsorship of some of their initiatives.
We also try to foster local groups and performers, including comedians, both so they can get to see groups and bands from other parts of the country, but also to give them an opportunity to perform live in front of local audiences and hone their talents. Examples of this approach are Battle of the Bands - our yearly competition for local talent, and the Monday Night Live gigs, which we put on at least twice a month. Comedy is a particular favourite, and it's a great way to start the week - Phil Andrews (the owner) often goes down to the Comedy Cavern to put a smile on his face on a Sunday night!
