To all ye faithful Bath Axe Wielding Warble Warriors,

The second BATTLE OF THE MUSOS of this century is almost upon us and I am here to inform you that your waiting is over.

Last year's King Axe Wielding Warble Warrior, BEN STURROCK, has been riding on his high horse for way too long and needs to be dethroned, urgently!  We will have no more of him, we need a new one!

So, it is time now to start sharpening your axes for this year's competition, so aptly named
BATTLE OF THE MUSOS 2004 , which will once again  take place at the famous PORTER CELLAR BAR (a most thrilling venue and regular host to the most awesome Warbling of the West ), over each and every Sunday in August (of which it has five).

* THERE WILL BE FOUR HEATS (on the 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd of August) AND ONE FINAL (on the 29th).

* THERE WILL BE NINE DIFFERENT WARRIORS (OR SETS OF) PER HEAT, 36 IN ALL AND A TOTAL OF 12 FINALISTS.

* THERE WILL BE THREE HUMAN JUDGES PER NIGHT (all of them charmingly corrupt and vulnerable to tempting offers of favours, free drinks and bribery)

*  THERE WILL BE THE AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION VOTE (a must when your judges are of the above description).

*  THERE WILL BE PRIZES! (better than last year, maybe).

*  THERE WILL BE TEARS OF JOY AND PAIN! (more than last year, definitely).
AND HEAVEN KNOWS WHAT ELSE!

DETAILS OF THE COMPETITION WILL SOON BE AVAILABLE ON LEAFLETS AND POSTERS SCATTERED ALL OVER MOLES CLUB AND THE PORTER CELLAR BAR WHERE YOU WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO PICK UP YOUR "BATTLE OF THE MUSOS 2004"  APPLICATION FORMS.
