VEGAN AND VEGETARIAN WINES AT THE PORTER
23 May 2005 The Porter has recently added a few new wines to the wine list, and clarified which ones are veggie or vegan. Recently we've had a lot of queries as to whether the wines were vegetarian or vegan. With the rise in awareness, of these issues, suppliers have been more willing to actually find out the information. Following extensive research by our suppliers, we now have accurate information on all the wines on our list. All the wines we offer are now, either veggie, or vegan. The wines we offer are as follows: - White Wines VIN DE PAYS DU COMTE TOLOSAN / VEGETARIAN CASTELLO DI ARCANO SUPERIORE PINOT GRIGIO / VEGAN OPAL RIDGE SEMILLON CHARDONNAY / VEGAN VALLE DORADO CHARDONNAY / VEGAN Red Wines VIN DE PAYS DU GARD / VEGETARIAN CASTELLO DI ARCANO SUPERIORE MERLOT DOC / VEGAN OPAL RIDGE SHIRAZ CABERNET / VEGAN TIERRA ARENA CABERNET / VEGAN We are also organizing an informal wine tasting at the Porter, on a Tuesday evening in several weeks time. Times will be posted on the web site nearer the time. A wine expert will be on hand to answer questions and advise, and there will be an opportunity to sample for free all the wines on our list.
