The shiny new forum!

21 November 2006

Hooray - the new website is finally up and running. The site membership is working well, and the new forum is a fully featured professionally written forum that is spam-proof ( well we hope it is!) It's the sort of forum you will find on some of the top websites, and has loads of extra functionality built in.

The only drawback with the new forum, is that to make it spam-proof, we have had to put a site membership system in place. However joining the site does give you lots of extra privileges and functionality, so it is well worth the 30 seconds it will take to fill in - especially as it's FREE! Click on the link to get the full low-down on what you get when you join.

To make some comparisons, non-members can browse the forum , but can't actually post to it - as a member of the Moles Website you can post, start threads, and even edit your posts. Non-members can only read the intros to the articles on the "Musos Corner" section, but not actually read the whole article - as a member you get access to the whole article. If you join the site, then you also get the benefit that if you buy tickets, then it auto populates the annoyingly long list of fields that you have to fill in at Worldpay.

Well also be adding "Chat" to the site as soon as we can get the programming sorted out - that will mean that you can chat in real time with other site members who are also logged onto the site. That should be really cool - again that will be website members only. We look forward to seeing lots of people getting to grips with the new site and joining the forum/website. Currently the site is getting 2500+ users per day.

Philip Andrews.
