Video Video Video
![]() Sony's broadcast video camera 15 July 2007 Moles Company Ltd are expanding this website considerably, with the addition of a new section specifically for video (and written) interviews with up-and-coming bands. Interviews will be copyright of Moles Company Ltd but will be available to link to in a similar fashion to the way youtube works. We're planning to interview the hottest bands each week to play at the Porter and at Moles Club on a regular basis - probably one or maybe even 2 per week if the bands are of the right calibre. We're expecting to end up with a 15 minute video interview for the band, perhaps with a few excerpts of live performances by the band. This will be both footage filmed at Moles and other material the band may already have. Moles Company Ltd will be investing in the necessary technology, both website wise and for videoing the interviews. The first interview may very well be the legendary Jon Otway, who is playing the club this coming Wednesday the 17th July 07. Doing a video interview is quite an undertaking - researching the band, filming the interview, and then editing the results; uploading the final version to the site is the easy part. We are as a consequence looking for some enthusiastic people interested in this type of project to join the existing journalistic team to assist with the production of some of the video interviews. Currently our website is getting in excess of 3,000 users per day - a staggering 1.2 million per year. With that kind of potential audience, there will be no shortage of bands to interview, and the CV advantages of hooking your work up with a band like the Killers for example will not be ignored by those keen on a career in the video industry. Modest fees will be paid for the work as well. Anyone interested in discussing joining the team should send an e-mail to Kath@moles.co.uk with details of your CV or experience. Students of the genre, even with limited experience, would still be welcome to apply as part of the overall team. News item by Philip Andrews |
