Nut Roast on Sundays
18 February 2004 Another good reason to go to the Porter on Sundays! Kate and the cooks have come up with a winner for Sundays - Nut Roast, with all the trimmings. We tried to do it back in the summer when it didn't seem that popular. Maybe it was too hot for a good heartwarming nut roast, but whatever the reason back then, it's going down a storm now - we've sold out really quickly the last 3 Sundays since we've had it available on the menu. You get traditional yorkshire pudding, nut roast, roast potatoes and roast parsnip, along with seasonal veg, and nice thick onion gravy - yum-yum! It's now permanently on the menu every Sunday from 1.30pm to 4.00pm. Do get down early, though as once it's sold out, that's it. I know where I'll be having my Sunday dinner from now on............ |
