Philip Andrews
| Moles owner
phil@moles.co.uk Phil Andrews, started Moles Club, a long way back, in 1978 to be exact. A modest amount of starting capital and a small loan from some friends was what enabled Moles Club to come into being. Working regular 100 hour weeks to get the whole thing off the ground was common place in the early days. Now Phil is in overall charge of the set-up, with a strong team of managers in charge of the three businesses. |

Mark Sands
| Muralist & Painter
smarkos_a@yahoo.co.uk Mark created and maintains the amazing murals in the Porter Cellar Bar. Based on a 5 element metric, the 4 alcoves embody water, wood, fire, and earth, whilst the metal element is spread around the main performance space. Have a close look next time you're in the club, and see if you can spot what they are! Mark comes in every now and then, and paints in the various bits of trunking and other additions to keep the overall effect fresh. The whole effect creates an "organic" and intimate feel to the space. Mark is also responsible for the more laid back "space decoration" in Moles Club. The aim was to create a feel, and look that was synonymous with the live music and dance theme of the club. Mark is getting very sought after for his restoration and innovative work, and has a busy schedule, but is still ocasionally available for commissions. |
